The following causes are very important to me so we have set up these fundraisers to help out my fellow doggies. These designs are available on shirts and other gift items and all commissions earned go to each cause.

Find A Cure For IMHAI was diagnosed with Evans Syndrome in 2006. It is a combination of IMHA/AIHA (Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia/Auto-Immune Hemolytic Anemia) and IMT/ITP (Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia/Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura). I was hospitalized for over a week and received numerous blood transfusions and a cocktail of immunosuppressants to save my life. I was weaned off the medications due to complications such as Cushings Disease but after a few months off the drugs, I relapsed again so I am currently back on medication. I continue to fight this disease everyday. There is no cure for this disease so please help support the fight for a cure. Meisha's Hope Fund and Morris Animal Foundation has teamed up to find a cure for IMHA with Autoimmune/Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia Fund #338. Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia is a serious blood disorder and scientists estimate over 50% of dogs diagnosed with it will die from the condition. Affected dogs show signs of weakness, lethargy, exercise intolerance and anorexia. This deadly blood disorder occurs when something triggers the dog's body to attack its own red blood cells. Despite aggressive immunosuppressive therapy, this disease has a very high mortality rate. Many dogs die shortly after diagnosis, so an effective early treatment is critical. All commissions earned from this design will go to the Meisha's Hope AIHA/IMHA Fund #338 at Morris Animal Foundation.

American Eskimo Dog RescueEveryday, people are working together to rescue Eskies and to help them find their forever homes. Show your support for these wonderful people and organizations. All commissions earned from this cartoon American Eskimo dog design will go to Eskie Rescue.

Opt To AdoptMommie adopted me in 2005 and she always says it is the best thing ever. Loving dogs are waiting in shelters around the country to be adopted. Opt to adopt and make a loving forever home for these poor dogs. All commissions earned from this design will go to local animal shelters.

Casper In Technicolor

Mommie took me to the hospital again today coz my foot is still red, swollen and painful. This time it was my real doctor who took a look at my foot. The last time she was not there coz it was after hours so we had to see the ER doc. She said I needed stronger antibiotics because of my Evans Syndrome. So she presribed some new ones for me plus some pain killers. She also instructed Mommie to soak my foot in Nolvasan solution twice a day and put a sock on it to keep me from licking it. The foot soak is not so bad but the new antibiotic pill is huge! Good thing it can be cut up. And the sock is no match for me. No matter how Mommie puts it on and ties it on me, I can get it off. Hahaha!

The painkiller is great. I can play again with my toys. I ran around the room after my toys for the first time in days. And Uncle and my cousins dropped off some belated Christmas presents for me. A basketball, soccerball, football and baseball. Oh boy!

My blood test results are 39% PCV and 248k platelets. Phooey! It is down again. Still in the normal range but doctor wants me to come back in a month to make sure it is not a downward trend coz this is the biggest drop I've had in a while. My liver enzymes and cholesterol is also a little elevated. And what does this mean? Another pill. Mommie has to go pick up a new pill I should take. Yuk!

Mommie made this framed art of me. This is what an American Eskimo Dog would look like in different colors. Thought I'd share a picture of it with you all. We have it up on the living room wall.

Bummed Out

My foot is not any better. Mommie had to take me to the ER coz it started bleeding again. They cleaned it up and gave me antibiotics coz it is infected. It is all red and swollen and tender. I am not allowed to lick it coz they said it would worsen the infection. And I am not allowed to get it wet. I don't feel like eating but Mommie says I have to coz I have to take my meds.

I am so bummed because Mommie's friends rented a house in Lake Tahoe. They got one that allowed pets so I could come along. But because of my foot I could not go out to play in the snow. I was so looking forward to it too. Sniff! So had to spend my weekend inside. The house had a nice loft. We spent most of the weekend watching tv in there. They had big sofas and cushions so I had lots of places to lie down.

I just had to get out there in the snow so I got into my saucer sled thingee to show Mommie I wanted to play in the snow.

She took me out for a few minutes. I got to sit in the saucer and Mommie pulled me around the backyard a bit. I looked around and sniffed the air. I saw a few birds in the trees and heard some doggies barking in the distance. But it just was not the same as being able to run around and roll around in the snow.
