The following causes are very important to me so we have set up these fundraisers to help out my fellow doggies. These designs are available on shirts and other gift items and all commissions earned go to each cause.

Find A Cure For IMHAI was diagnosed with Evans Syndrome in 2006. It is a combination of IMHA/AIHA (Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia/Auto-Immune Hemolytic Anemia) and IMT/ITP (Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia/Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura). I was hospitalized for over a week and received numerous blood transfusions and a cocktail of immunosuppressants to save my life. I was weaned off the medications due to complications such as Cushings Disease but after a few months off the drugs, I relapsed again so I am currently back on medication. I continue to fight this disease everyday. There is no cure for this disease so please help support the fight for a cure. Meisha's Hope Fund and Morris Animal Foundation has teamed up to find a cure for IMHA with Autoimmune/Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia Fund #338. Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia is a serious blood disorder and scientists estimate over 50% of dogs diagnosed with it will die from the condition. Affected dogs show signs of weakness, lethargy, exercise intolerance and anorexia. This deadly blood disorder occurs when something triggers the dog's body to attack its own red blood cells. Despite aggressive immunosuppressive therapy, this disease has a very high mortality rate. Many dogs die shortly after diagnosis, so an effective early treatment is critical. All commissions earned from this design will go to the Meisha's Hope AIHA/IMHA Fund #338 at Morris Animal Foundation.

American Eskimo Dog RescueEveryday, people are working together to rescue Eskies and to help them find their forever homes. Show your support for these wonderful people and organizations. All commissions earned from this cartoon American Eskimo dog design will go to Eskie Rescue.

Opt To AdoptMommie adopted me in 2005 and she always says it is the best thing ever. Loving dogs are waiting in shelters around the country to be adopted. Opt to adopt and make a loving forever home for these poor dogs. All commissions earned from this design will go to local animal shelters.

Thinking Of Getting A Dog

Taking care of a dog is a BIG responsibility. Dogs are totally dependent on their masters their entire lives so there are a lot of things to consider. Here are some things to think about before getting a dog.

Rejected!

Waaah! She left without me. I guess she did not want me after all. I did hear her say that I was a bit bigger than she expected. Plus a lot of my fur stuck to her jacket because I just took a bath and did not get my hair brushed yet. Maybe she does not like fur on her clothes. Pooh! I wish I did not shed so much. Maybe then she would take me. What do I do now? No one else has responded to my ad and my temp family is moving soon. The house has been sold already.

Looking Good

The lady who responded to my ad came and Buddy and I rushed out to meet her. I think she liked Buddy better at first. He was all cute and fluffy. I was not because I was still a little wet from my bath when she arrived and some of my fur was still matted. My temp Mom took Buddy for a walk so that I could get some time alone with my potential new Mommie. She was very nice. She petted me a lot and played with me. I spent a couple of hours with her and did my best to make her want to take me home. I posed in my patch of grass so that she could see me behaving. When I saw her waving for me to come to her, I obeyed so she could see how good I was. She could not find any toys around so she threw a plastic cup, I ran to get it and brought it back to her. She liked that a lot. I think it went pretty well. She is talking with my temp family right now.

Best Foot Forward

Someone is coming to see me today. Perhaps she will adopt me. My temporary Mommie is giving me a bath so that I am nice and clean when I meet her. I hope she likes me. I do not know what will happen if no one adopts me and my temporary family cannot take me with them. I do not want to go to a shelter. It is very scary there. I will put my best foot forward and be as cute and friendly as possible so that she will take me home with her.

Up for Adoption...Again

Someone responded to my ad on craigslist today. Maybe I will get adopted soon. My temporary family is putting me up for adoption because they are moving to another state. I have only been with them for a few months. I was given to them by my original Mommie because she had to move to another city and could not take me with her. I do not know why they will not bring me with them. They are taking my friend Buddy. He is also an American Eskimo Dog but he is bigger than I am. He is a standard and I am a miniature. I guess it is because he is their original doggie and I am not. Maybe if no one adopts me they will take me with them, too. I hope so. I like playing with Buddy. He is a good friend. We run around the backyard and chase each other around the pool.
