The following causes are very important to me so we have set up these fundraisers to help out my fellow doggies. These designs are available on shirts and other gift items and all commissions earned go to each cause.

Find A Cure For IMHAI was diagnosed with Evans Syndrome in 2006. It is a combination of IMHA/AIHA (Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia/Auto-Immune Hemolytic Anemia) and IMT/ITP (Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia/Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura). I was hospitalized for over a week and received numerous blood transfusions and a cocktail of immunosuppressants to save my life. I was weaned off the medications due to complications such as Cushings Disease but after a few months off the drugs, I relapsed again so I am currently back on medication. I continue to fight this disease everyday. There is no cure for this disease so please help support the fight for a cure. Meisha's Hope Fund and Morris Animal Foundation has teamed up to find a cure for IMHA with Autoimmune/Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia Fund #338. Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia is a serious blood disorder and scientists estimate over 50% of dogs diagnosed with it will die from the condition. Affected dogs show signs of weakness, lethargy, exercise intolerance and anorexia. This deadly blood disorder occurs when something triggers the dog's body to attack its own red blood cells. Despite aggressive immunosuppressive therapy, this disease has a very high mortality rate. Many dogs die shortly after diagnosis, so an effective early treatment is critical. All commissions earned from this design will go to the Meisha's Hope AIHA/IMHA Fund #338 at Morris Animal Foundation.

American Eskimo Dog RescueEveryday, people are working together to rescue Eskies and to help them find their forever homes. Show your support for these wonderful people and organizations. All commissions earned from this cartoon American Eskimo dog design will go to Eskie Rescue.

Opt To AdoptMommie adopted me in 2005 and she always says it is the best thing ever. Loving dogs are waiting in shelters around the country to be adopted. Opt to adopt and make a loving forever home for these poor dogs. All commissions earned from this design will go to local animal shelters.

Friday At Last!

Sorry for not putting up any updates, Max. Thanks for asking. I am doing ok. My last platelet count showed they were clumped so they redid the test and it still showed up as clumped. My doctor said to just keep a close eye on me and get another test next month to make sure it is not the start of something bad. I haven't felt like finishing my meals. I do not know why. I get so excited when Mommie prepares my food but as soon as she puts it in my bowl, I lose my appetite. She is thinking of changing my food in case I am tired of this brand. At least she only buys me dry kibble so we know it is not part of the recall. I still wolf down snacks though. They found a couple of small red spots on my belly yesterday. So it looks like another uneventful weekend is planned for me. Sigh! Well, maybe if they disappear tomorrow I will be able to go out. On the upside, we got our Animal Planet channel back. So I have been watching my favorite shows again like Animal Cops. Goodie! And it is Friday! Yipee! So Mommie won't have to go to work.

I'm Five Years Old Today!

It's my birthday today! Wheeee! This will be the first time we celebrate my birthday together. Coz last year I did not feel at all like celebrating coz I just got out of the hospital and was full of drugs. And the year before that, Mom adopted me a week after my birthday. So this year, Mommie baked me a bone shaped doggie cake. It's got peanut butter in it and topped with cottage cheese and my name in carrots. Yummm!!! It was super delicious but Mommie said it was too big for me to finish at one time, so eventually she cut me a big slice and let me eat it in my new doggie dish.

Check out my loot! My good pal Hana even sent me some neat stuff. Thanks Hana!!! Watch me open her present in the videos at the bottom of this post. The other stuff I already got a few days ago coz as soon as Mommie got home from the petstore, I went into her shopping bag and found the dino squeak toy and took off with it. I never let it go so Mommie just let me have it early. And I rummaged through the bag so I saw all my gifts already. Haha! Good thing I still had something to open today. Plus my Uncle came and had a bag of doggie treats for me. Yummy!

Here is one of the fancy ribbons Hana sent me. It would have been perfect for the San Francisco SPCA Annual Bark and Whine Ball. Too bad I cannot go coz there will be lots of doggies there. Plus it is $125 for humans and $20 for doggies. Yikes! Expensive! But it is for charity so hopefully they make a lot to help the SPCA.
