The following causes are very important to me so we have set up these fundraisers to help out my fellow doggies. These designs are available on shirts and other gift items and all commissions earned go to each cause.

Find A Cure For IMHAI was diagnosed with Evans Syndrome in 2006. It is a combination of IMHA/AIHA (Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia/Auto-Immune Hemolytic Anemia) and IMT/ITP (Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia/Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura). I was hospitalized for over a week and received numerous blood transfusions and a cocktail of immunosuppressants to save my life. I was weaned off the medications due to complications such as Cushings Disease but after a few months off the drugs, I relapsed again so I am currently back on medication. I continue to fight this disease everyday. There is no cure for this disease so please help support the fight for a cure. Meisha's Hope Fund and Morris Animal Foundation has teamed up to find a cure for IMHA with Autoimmune/Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia Fund #338. Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia is a serious blood disorder and scientists estimate over 50% of dogs diagnosed with it will die from the condition. Affected dogs show signs of weakness, lethargy, exercise intolerance and anorexia. This deadly blood disorder occurs when something triggers the dog's body to attack its own red blood cells. Despite aggressive immunosuppressive therapy, this disease has a very high mortality rate. Many dogs die shortly after diagnosis, so an effective early treatment is critical. All commissions earned from this design will go to the Meisha's Hope AIHA/IMHA Fund #338 at Morris Animal Foundation.

American Eskimo Dog RescueEveryday, people are working together to rescue Eskies and to help them find their forever homes. Show your support for these wonderful people and organizations. All commissions earned from this cartoon American Eskimo dog design will go to Eskie Rescue.

Opt To AdoptMommie adopted me in 2005 and she always says it is the best thing ever. Loving dogs are waiting in shelters around the country to be adopted. Opt to adopt and make a loving forever home for these poor dogs. All commissions earned from this design will go to local animal shelters.

A Good Weekend

Wheee! Mommie said my gums looked good all weekend. It has been so hot so she let me cool off by giving me a bath. Now I am all white and soft again. I even got to play a little bit with my toys in the tub. But only for a few minutes. Maybe next time I can spend more time playing. It is fun trying to grab my toys that sink to the bottom. I also got lots of crushed ice for a snack.

My toys got to go in the water first. I could not wait to join them and tried to reach them from the outside. Sorry no pix while I was in the tub coz Mommie wanted to get me washed quickly so that I could dry off and rest. But before I took my nap, I rode the laundry basket. Nothing like a freshly laundered Eskie!

Thanks Girl Girl!

Oh boy! Guess what came in the mail yesterday? Girl Girl the Hamster!!! Well actually, it wasn't Girl Girl in person (in hamster?) but a toy hamster that looks like her. Whoopeee! It is so much fun to play with. There is a little string in the back that you pull and it will wiggle. Thanks Girl Girl! I love my hamster so much. I refused to let go even when Mommie carried me to bed. So she let me keep my hamster with me all night. And of course that is the first thing I looked for in the morning. Girl Girl even put her paw prints on the greeting card. Her little feet are soooo cute!

Thanks also to everyone wishing me well!!! Mommie said she would take a picture with me and the greeting cards in a few weeks so that everyone's card gets to be in it.

Pounce!

We got the results from yesterday's blood test. My PCV is up 3 points to 36 and my platelets are at 448k! Wheee! No wonder I felt like pouncing on a toy the other day. Mommie was surprised when she saw me pounce. I haven't done that in so long. Heehee! Mommie wishes she had gotten a photo of me pouncing but she was too slow.

The doc wants to reduce my medicine again. Hopefully I will be able to keep my numbers up. The doc says I will have to take my meds forever but they are slowly reducing it to see what is the smallest dose I can live on coz of the side effects. Plus I do not like the taste at all. It is yucky! Even when Mommie tries to hide it in yummy stuff, I know it is there. So I eat the yummy stuff around it and spit out the pill. Hehe!

Thanks again to everyone praying for me and wishing me well and helping me out. Mommie and I are forever grateful to you all!

Last Fish Standing

Three of my goldfishies expired. Sniff! I visit the last one everyday to make sure he is not lonely. Mommie hopes the 3 that went took some of my sickness with them. No change for me so far. No improvement yet but Mommie thinks I did not get worse either. Which I guess for us is good news. My gums are still pale even when I am not doing anything all day. Poop is good except for one day where Mommie saw some traces of blood in my tushie after pooping when she wiped it. I am still always hungry so Mommie gives me some bread in between meals. Yummmy! She moved my night meds to morning in case that will help. Same dosage just different time. She said I sleep more at night so maybe I won't need it as much as in the morning time. And with the med reduction, I do not have as many meds in the morning to deal with so it was a good time to switch the Imuran to the mornings along with everything else. We go for another blood test next week. So hopefully I will have better news then.

Oh Boy! Fishies!

Mommie got me some fishies last Monday to make up for me having to get another blood test. I love seeing them swimming around. Mommie needs to keep changing the water every few weeks coz it gets stinky coz our fish bowl does not have a filter or plants in there. It is just the fishies and some marbles. Sometimes I like to look from the side of the bowl but I like the view from the top the best. Mommie thought I might eat my fishies coz I am so hungry. How silly! I did try to touch them once but Mommie said that was a no-no. Auntie's friend said my fishies were the kind that other people bought to feed to their fish. So we saved these ones from being eaten. I think they are just the right size for our fish bowl. Supervising all those fishies was hard work. I was so poofed afterwards, that I just plopped down and went to sleep.

So far so good. It has been a week since my medicine was reduced. I do not look any better but at least I do not look worse either. Maybe there will be some improvement in the coming week.
