Merry Christmas!

Boy! This is the best Christmas! We went to Mommie's friend's house in Sacramento to celebrate Christmas with them and I got to stay overnight in this huge house. Mommie's goddaughter played with me all night. Here is a picture of me under their tree on Christmas morning after the gifts were opened. I got gifts, too. It was fun to unwrap them. I got a snowman and penguin stuffed toy, a rubber ball with a big tongue attached and a big box of doggie biscuits. Afterward, we went to Lake Tahoe and I saw snow for the first time. Clumsy Eskie

Last night, Mommie brought me a little penguin stuffed toy she got from the office Christmas party. It's fun to play with it. I was able to remove the scarf pretty easily but I am still working on chewing its beak off. While we were playing, I jumped up to get it and I hit my head on the corner of the coffee table when I landed. It was pretty painful but after a few seconds, I was ready to play again. Mommie keeps telling me to be careful but I just get so excited. Sometimes I walk into doors or poles or tree trunks coz I keep looking back to see if Mommie is following or I keep looking at other things instead of where I am going. I run into a lot of other things too like chair legs, cabinet doors, you name it. But sometimes it is not my fault. I will be walking and the refrigerator door will suddenly be in my face. I fall off things a lot, too. Mom is always worried that I might get hurt but so far I've been ok. Even when I lift my leg to pee, I sometimes fall over. I fell from the sidewalk the other day coz I could not keep my balance while I was peeing. It is hard balancing like that specially for a long pee so sometimes I just do either a semi lift or squat like the girls do. But I only do the girl style in the privacy of my backyard. Hehe!

Heehee! Mom saw this on the web. Too funny!

Mommie was wrapping presents last night. And I went to the pile and started sniffing and found my gift. I wanted to open it already but she said I had to wait until Christmas. This morning when she opened the gate to the living room, I went straight to the pile and picked out my gift again. But she said it is still not Christmas yet. Darn!

The other day, we went to downtown San Jose. We went to eat dinner and checked out Christmas at the Park. There were loads of people there so Mom had to carry me for a bit coz she was afraid I would get stepped on. We saw a few doggies, too. But doggies were not allowed in some parts of the park. Just the perimeter. But I got to see lots of Christmas trees and rides and even an ice skating rink. The kids who saw me kept saying I was a Christmas dog. Hehe!

Stanford Shopping Center

Stanford Shopping Center is the best. I got to go Christmas shopping with Mommie. They let doggies go inside the stores. I saw lots of other doggies and people there. And boy, there were loads of things to sniff. The sales people in the stores were all very nice. They pat my head and said I was so well behaved. By the time we got to Macy's department store, I was already tired so I slept a bit while they were looking at shoes. I wish all stores were like that so that I could always tag along.
