The following causes are very important to me so we have set up these fundraisers to help out my fellow doggies. These designs are available on shirts and other gift items and all commissions earned go to each cause.

Find A Cure For IMHAI was diagnosed with Evans Syndrome in 2006. It is a combination of IMHA/AIHA (Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia/Auto-Immune Hemolytic Anemia) and IMT/ITP (Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia/Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura). I was hospitalized for over a week and received numerous blood transfusions and a cocktail of immunosuppressants to save my life. I was weaned off the medications due to complications such as Cushings Disease but after a few months off the drugs, I relapsed again so I am currently back on medication. I continue to fight this disease everyday. There is no cure for this disease so please help support the fight for a cure. Meisha's Hope Fund and Morris Animal Foundation has teamed up to find a cure for IMHA with Autoimmune/Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia Fund #338. Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia is a serious blood disorder and scientists estimate over 50% of dogs diagnosed with it will die from the condition. Affected dogs show signs of weakness, lethargy, exercise intolerance and anorexia. This deadly blood disorder occurs when something triggers the dog's body to attack its own red blood cells. Despite aggressive immunosuppressive therapy, this disease has a very high mortality rate. Many dogs die shortly after diagnosis, so an effective early treatment is critical. All commissions earned from this design will go to the Meisha's Hope AIHA/IMHA Fund #338 at Morris Animal Foundation.

American Eskimo Dog RescueEveryday, people are working together to rescue Eskies and to help them find their forever homes. Show your support for these wonderful people and organizations. All commissions earned from this cartoon American Eskimo dog design will go to Eskie Rescue.

Opt To AdoptMommie adopted me in 2005 and she always says it is the best thing ever. Loving dogs are waiting in shelters around the country to be adopted. Opt to adopt and make a loving forever home for these poor dogs. All commissions earned from this design will go to local animal shelters.

Hooray!

My PCV is at 42% and platelets at 396k. Whooopeee! That means even after all the excitement of the Eskie meetup I am doing very very well. So Mommie, that means I should go to more Eskie meetups. Hehe!

The specialist said that she was not going to reduce my meds at this point. I go back in 2 months to see how things are going. If the side effects are worsening then she might reduce them then. I am still on more meds now than at this time last year in my recovery. I guess it is just harder to overcome the second time around. But at least I get 2 whole months with no poking. Yipee!

Mommie is gonna find new food for me. I have not been finishing my meals for the past few weeks. I guess I am tired of my current dog food. My Eskie pals gave me a taste of their dog food and it was so yummy but the doc said the fat content was too high for me and I need to stay on a low fat diet so I do not get pancreatitis. Being on a diet is no good! Phooey!

Eskie Meet

Mommie kept telling me I had to rest all week. And now I know why. She was gonna let me meet up with my Eskie pals. Woohoo!!! I had a blast and Mommie said I did really really well. I only got one spot after spending a few hours with my pals. Their Mommies are so nice and made sure the doggies would be healthy and safe for me to be with. I sure hope we do this again real soon. A couple of the Mommies brought doggie treats. Yummmm!!! And a couple of the Mommies gave me some delish doggie food to try. Thanks for a lovely time and all the yummies.

Quest For Cooler Temperatures

On Saturday, we went in search of cooler temperatures. It has been sooo hot so Mommie figured we could go somewhere near the water so that it would be cooler. I was so excited and could not sleep in the car. I was sitting up and looking out the window even though they told me it was gonna be a long drive. We stopped on the way to get some lunch and I got to sit beside Mommie. The waiter even gave me a bowl of water but Mommie said I had to use my own bowl to be safe. It was really hot where we had lunch. Even hotter than home. And I thought we were gonna find a nice cool place for me. :D I rode in my stroller while they looked around and I got to enjoy some of the stores' airconditioners. After that we continued on our quest for cooler temperatures. Along the way, we saw a pie shop that Mom's friends saw on tv. So we went in and bought some pies. I saw a swingset outside the window so Mommie took me outside to check it out. I put my front paws on the seat and it moved. So Mommie picked me up and let me have a ride. Wheeee! It was so much fun. Wish we had something like this at home. We spent some time there coz it was so relaxing. Then after some more driving, we were able to see the water. We stopped by a picnic area and I had an early dinner with the view of the ocean. It was nice and cool up there. But I had to squint coz the sun was so bright. Just below was a beach so after eating, we went down there to check it out. Mommie let me go to the water and I sniffed it but then it went away from me so I followed. And then the water changed its mind, and started to come back real fast. I was not able to get away fast enough. I tried at first to get away but soon the water was everywhere and I stood there looking around in dismay. My feet and belly got all wet and were sticky. So we walked around a little bit but I did not go near enough to the water anymore. We stayed there for a bit to relax and so that I could dry off. Mommie said if I was not sick, I could run around with my ball. Maybe someday I will be able to play on the beach. I was so sleepy on the drive home. I slept in Mommie's arms. What a great day that was!!!

This is the view from where I ate my dinner. It's sooo pretty there.
