The following causes are very important to me so we have set up these fundraisers to help out my fellow doggies. These designs are available on shirts and other gift items and all commissions earned go to each cause.

Find A Cure For IMHAI was diagnosed with Evans Syndrome in 2006. It is a combination of IMHA/AIHA (Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia/Auto-Immune Hemolytic Anemia) and IMT/ITP (Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia/Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura). I was hospitalized for over a week and received numerous blood transfusions and a cocktail of immunosuppressants to save my life. I was weaned off the medications due to complications such as Cushings Disease but after a few months off the drugs, I relapsed again so I am currently back on medication. I continue to fight this disease everyday. There is no cure for this disease so please help support the fight for a cure. Meisha's Hope Fund and Morris Animal Foundation has teamed up to find a cure for IMHA with Autoimmune/Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia Fund #338. Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia is a serious blood disorder and scientists estimate over 50% of dogs diagnosed with it will die from the condition. Affected dogs show signs of weakness, lethargy, exercise intolerance and anorexia. This deadly blood disorder occurs when something triggers the dog's body to attack its own red blood cells. Despite aggressive immunosuppressive therapy, this disease has a very high mortality rate. Many dogs die shortly after diagnosis, so an effective early treatment is critical. All commissions earned from this design will go to the Meisha's Hope AIHA/IMHA Fund #338 at Morris Animal Foundation.

American Eskimo Dog RescueEveryday, people are working together to rescue Eskies and to help them find their forever homes. Show your support for these wonderful people and organizations. All commissions earned from this cartoon American Eskimo dog design will go to Eskie Rescue.

Opt To AdoptMommie adopted me in 2005 and she always says it is the best thing ever. Loving dogs are waiting in shelters around the country to be adopted. Opt to adopt and make a loving forever home for these poor dogs. All commissions earned from this design will go to local animal shelters.

Bloody Paw

I hurt my foot today. Sniff! Not sure why it is bleeding. I don't remember stepping on anything sharp. There are drops of blood all over the floor and on my towel where I lay down. I tried to clean my foot by licking it but there was still lots of blood when Mommie got home. She cleaned up the rest of the blood on my paw but she could not find where it was coming from. She said it's hard to tell what is wrong coz I keep pulling my leg away when she tries to look at it. But at least the bleeding has stopped so it is not dripping anymore.

Wakey wakey

Boy, I am so thirsty all the time. I finish the water in my bowl faster than Mommie can refill it. Everytime she looks, the bowl is empty again. And of course the more I drink, the more I pee.

In the morning, I paw Mommie to wake her up to carry me off the bed and take me to the bathroom. The bed is too high for me to jump so I need assistance. The last time I jumped on the bed, I relapsed so I do not risk jumping it any more.

If it is not too urgent, I lie back down and wait a few minutes before pawing her again. But if I have to go really bad, I paw her frantically. If she still does not get up, I start crying. It's hard to hold peepee or even poo for that matter.

Most of the time, Mommie gets up right away when I wake her but sometimes when she is really sleepy, she won't. I will paw her arm and wait. I look at her really good to see if she is really asleep. Sometimes she just pretends coz she does not feel like getting up. Bad Mommie! When I know she is faking, I use the pleading stare to make her get up. She can see me coz I see her eyes are open just the tiniest bit. Eventually she will feel guilty about making me hold it and she will get up.

Since I have to pee quite often, this can go on multiple times during the night so Mommie says she is not getting enough sleep. But on good days I am able to hold it until the morning. Then I will hear the alarm clock go off at 6am. I paw Mommie again to go to the bathroom and after that, breakfast is served in bed and Mommie gives me my medication. She lets me eat in bed so she can catch a few more precious zzzz's while I am eating. After I eat, I get my morning cuddle. I will come to Mommie's side and turn over to get my ears and belly rubbed. This is the best time of the day.

When Auntie is there, it is a different story. She sleeps under the blanket with only her head sticking out. And she sleeps like the dead. Subtle pawing does not work. Neither does crying. So I have no choice. I have to smack her across the face with my paw to wake her up. Hahaha! That works really well. It's funny coz she will suddenly sit up with a startled look on her face. And then she will realize what I did, why I did it and take me to the bathroom.
