Find A Cure For IMHAI was diagnosed with Evans Syndrome in 2006. It is a combination of IMHA/AIHA (Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia/Auto-Immune Hemolytic Anemia) and IMT/ITP (Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia/Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura). I was hospitalized for over a week and received numerous blood transfusions and a cocktail of immunosuppressants to save my life. I was weaned off the medications due to complications such as Cushings Disease but after a few months off the drugs, I relapsed again so I am currently back on medication. I continue to fight this disease everyday. There is no cure for this disease so please help support the fight for a cure. Meisha's Hope Fund and Morris Animal Foundation has teamed up to find a cure for IMHA with Autoimmune/Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia Fund #338. Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia is a serious blood disorder and scientists estimate over 50% of dogs diagnosed with it will die from the condition. Affected dogs show signs of weakness, lethargy, exercise intolerance and anorexia. This deadly blood disorder occurs when something triggers the dog's body to attack its own red blood cells. Despite aggressive immunosuppressive therapy, this disease has a very high mortality rate. Many dogs die shortly after diagnosis, so an effective early treatment is critical. All commissions earned from this design will go to the Meisha's Hope AIHA/IMHA Fund #338 at Morris Animal Foundation.

American Eskimo Dog RescueEveryday, people are working together to rescue Eskies and to help them find their forever homes. Show your support for these wonderful people and organizations. All commissions earned from this cartoon American Eskimo dog design will go to Eskie Rescue.

Opt To AdoptMommie adopted me in 2005 and she always says it is the best thing ever. Loving dogs are waiting in shelters around the country to be adopted. Opt to adopt and make a loving forever home for these poor dogs. All commissions earned from this design will go to local animal shelters.

Packing Up

It's been months since we moved to Daddy's place but our stuff is still not all there. So we spent the whole weekend packing so that we will finally be completely moved in. At first I did not understand what was going on. Mommie kept putting boxes on the floor and of course for me that meant, getting into them and taking a ride. But instead of taking me for my ride, she would shoo me away and put stuff in it and seal it up. That brought up another mystery. Usually when I see boxes, it is for me to open, but today seemed like opposite day as Mommie was sealing them up. I pawed a few and looked at her to ask if I was to open them but she explained that we were moving everything so I should not open any of them. She said my getting into the boxes and wanting to open them was not helping. So all I could do this weekend was supervise. I made sure Mommie and Daddy were packing stuff properly and not forgetting my treats and toys. I inspected all the work they did with my trusty nose. I am sure they will appreciate my help more once it comes to unpacking coz that is my forte. Teehee! At the end of the day, all that supervising left me exhausted. Whenever we got home, I just went up to bed and crashed.

What Is The Best Eskie Feature

What physical part of an Eskie do you love the most?
The smile?
The bushy tail?
The furpants?
The expressive brown eyes?
The white eyelashes?
The black eyeliner?
The rubbable belly?
The self-cleaning fur?
The paws that smell or popcorn or cheetos?
The black or sometimes pink noses?
The soft triangle ears?
The tiny row of mini front teeth between the fangs.
The cute snout?
Mommie has a hard time picking. Her favorite is every single part of me. She even says she likes how round the top of my head is. Silly Mommie!

Happy 2011!

Happy New Year everyone! In keeping with the holiday spirit, Mommie donated some of my toys to the doggie shelter yesterday. She grabbed a bag of toys and we all got into the car. When we got to the shelter, I noticed she had Jasper in the car. I was aghast! She did not plan to give Jasper away did she? I made all sorts of protesting noises and was quite upset when she parked. Thank goodness she grabbed the bag of toys but left Jasper safely in the car with me and Daddy.

The rain stopped for a bit so we were able to go out for a walk. We walked around an outdoor mall and went to the bookstore. A nice old man gave me his seat so I had a comfy chair while Mommie checked out some books. It was a nice spot for people to come by and pet me. One lady said my fur was soft as silk and another was fascinated by my white eyelashes. Everyone said I was such a good doggie. It was nice to get so many pats and compliments. By the time we left it was raining again so Mommie carried me back to the car while Daddy held the umbrella so I would not get wet. I felt so spoiled. Teehee!

Today, we are just relaxing at home. The holidays are over so Mommie has to go back to work tomorrow. Yuk! I wish it was holidays all year round.
