Doggie Food

Mom used to buy me canned dog food but she read that dry dog food is better. So now she buys me Nutro Dental Lamb and Rice and Purina One Lamb and Rice. I like them both but the Nutro is a bit hard to bite into but it is supposed to help keep my teeth clean. At first she kept trying to switch me to just one brand but I like to play with my food. If she puts more Nutro than Purina, I like to pick out all the Purina first. If she puts more Purina than Nutro, I like to pick out all the Nutro first. It drives her crazy coz she does not know why I do that. And so she can't tell which one I really like so she keeps buying both. I just like the variety. She also bought me toys that can hold the food. I have a Kong that we use to hold one brand of kibble and a violet bone that holds the other brand. It is fun getting the food out of the toys. Makes meal time more interesting as opposed to just eating from my bowl. If my food is not in the toy, sometimes I like to toss each piece in the air and try to catch it. Sometimes I like to put my food on the floor, walk away then run back and pounce on it. It really makes meal time more fun. Mom thinks I am nuts. She would rather I eat all my food from my bowl and all at once. I like to eat multiple times throughout the day. I also like eating when she is eating as well. Sometimes she hides biscuits in the backyard and lets me go hunting for them. That is also fun.
