Find A Cure For IMHAI was diagnosed with Evans Syndrome in 2006. It is a combination of IMHA/AIHA (Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia/Auto-Immune Hemolytic Anemia) and IMT/ITP (Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia/Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura). I was hospitalized for over a week and received numerous blood transfusions and a cocktail of immunosuppressants to save my life. I was weaned off the medications due to complications such as Cushings Disease but after a few months off the drugs, I relapsed again so I am currently back on medication. I continue to fight this disease everyday. There is no cure for this disease so please help support the fight for a cure. Meisha's Hope Fund and Morris Animal Foundation has teamed up to find a cure for IMHA with Autoimmune/Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia Fund #338. Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia is a serious blood disorder and scientists estimate over 50% of dogs diagnosed with it will die from the condition. Affected dogs show signs of weakness, lethargy, exercise intolerance and anorexia. This deadly blood disorder occurs when something triggers the dog's body to attack its own red blood cells. Despite aggressive immunosuppressive therapy, this disease has a very high mortality rate. Many dogs die shortly after diagnosis, so an effective early treatment is critical. All commissions earned from this design will go to the Meisha's Hope AIHA/IMHA Fund #338 at Morris Animal Foundation.

American Eskimo Dog RescueEveryday, people are working together to rescue Eskies and to help them find their forever homes. Show your support for these wonderful people and organizations. All commissions earned from this cartoon American Eskimo dog design will go to Eskie Rescue.

Opt To AdoptMommie adopted me in 2005 and she always says it is the best thing ever. Loving dogs are waiting in shelters around the country to be adopted. Opt to adopt and make a loving forever home for these poor dogs. All commissions earned from this design will go to local animal shelters.

Evil Balloons

Mommie's friend helped me get her balloons and a nice greeting card for her birthday. I was so excited when they were delivered. They looked so pretty so I wanted to sniff them but they were floating too high for me to reach. I jumped to try to get one of the balloons but then the balloons started to chase me around the room. I was so scared. Those nasty balloons would not leave me alone until Mommie rescued me. Mommie said that the balloons were not attacking me. She said that the string got tangled on my leg when I tried to reach them and so when I ran I was pulling them behind me. I guess that makes sense but I am still very wary of them floating so high above me. So now, I walk around them but I do not take my eyes off of them for an instant.

Dear Casper's Mommie,
I hope you have a woofaful happy barkday!
Woof,
From Hana

Casper, that was so nice of you to get balloons and a card for your mommie's birthday. Was there a picture of a dog on the bday card? The balloons sound so scarey, yet they are made of balls, aren't they, so they should be our friends? Loony balls I guess. My mommie says she wishes your mommie had gotten a video of the balloons chasing you. Heehee, she got a chuckle envisioning the balloon chase. Well, keep a lookout on those evil balloons and protect your mommie from them! Slowly but surely they will descend and launch an attack on you just when you start to get used to them!! Stay safe!

Hi Hana,
Momma says thank you. She said it is so sweet of you to greet her. She was going to take a picture of me when I tried to reach the balloons but as soon as they chased me she dropped the camera to save me. After that I did not want to go near them anymore no matter how much she says they are harmless. So no chance for pix.

Hey Casper,

Please give the B-Day girl a belated nice sloppy lick for me. My human also hopes your mom had a great day.

Those ballons can be reeeally scary. As you know, they can chase you and sometimes they can change your human. When my humans capture one, they kiss it and then my humans sound all squeaky. Why they want to kiss it I don't know. Humans are soooo weird!

Woof!

Freda

Casper, I am new to your blog. I am sorry you are so sick. You are adorable! I used to have a older sister named Holly and she loved to go for walks but as she got older, she could not go because she was blind and old. Mommy wanted to get a stroller for her but was afraid people would laugh at her. You look awesome in your stroller.
