Speedless Racer
Mommie took me to the tennis courts on Saturday. Everyone else was already there playing tennis. She tossed a few balls for me and I ran to get them but I was nowhere near my usual speed. It was super hot and I just could not muster the energy to run after the balls full speed. Mommie took her turn playing tennis while Auntie sat with me. I watched Mommie play while laying in the shade. She is not very good at it. Haha!
When we got home, Uncle, Auntie and Grandma got busy cooking dinner so the rest of us stayed in the living room and I lay down on the tile by the fireplace. I kept my ears wide open so I could listen to their stories. The other people and Mommy were joking about how they did not know how to cook and how they frequented the frozen food section at Costco. I was too tired to investigate in the kitchen and they did not cook anything I could eat anyway. The last time people came over for dinner, they had pasta so they gave me a piece of noodle before putting sauce over it.
The next day we went to see Courtney. She met us at a dog friendly hotel so I got to tag along. It was really hot there so Mommie asked the hotel people for water for me. As she was giving it to me in my water cup, one of the hotel staff came out with a doggie package. They said it was for me. Wow! What great people! Dog lovers are the nicest people! There was a collapsible bowl, water bottle and quail bird stuffie. It also had a roll of poop plastic in a little plastic fire hydrant. That did not interest me. I was all intent on getting the stuffie. I stood up on my hind legs and put both my front feet on it. They liked that and I heard a lot of awwws. They said I was so cute. Mommie thanked them for the stuff and I walked out of there with my new prize in my mouth. They really liked seeing me walk around with it. It makes a funny sound. Kind of like a low squawk.

What a fun day at the tennis courts. That was SO nice of the dog friendly hotel to give you pressies. Will your bird stuffie last a long time?

Casper, you are like a superstar! Sounds like you had a really fun weekend.
You guys go to the best places! How neat that the staff had a special gift bag just for you...hope you enjoy your stuffie!

By the way, I want to tell you about my campaign against a proposed law in the Philippines that will allow greyhound racing.
We know that this form of gambling is no fun for greyhounds. Imagine having to wear muzzles and living in a kennel for most of your life? And being disposed like useless upon retirement?
Right now, there are too many animals in need of rescue and adoption, and we can't add more to the list. Hope you can help us with our campaign. I made a post about this in our blog.
