The following causes are very important to me so we have set up these fundraisers to help out my fellow doggies. These designs are available on shirts and other gift items and all commissions earned go to each cause.

Find A Cure For IMHAI was diagnosed with Evans Syndrome in 2006. It is a combination of IMHA/AIHA (Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia/Auto-Immune Hemolytic Anemia) and IMT/ITP (Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia/Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura). I was hospitalized for over a week and received numerous blood transfusions and a cocktail of immunosuppressants to save my life. I was weaned off the medications due to complications such as Cushings Disease but after a few months off the drugs, I relapsed again so I am currently back on medication. I continue to fight this disease everyday. There is no cure for this disease so please help support the fight for a cure. Meisha's Hope Fund and Morris Animal Foundation has teamed up to find a cure for IMHA with Autoimmune/Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia Fund #338. Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia is a serious blood disorder and scientists estimate over 50% of dogs diagnosed with it will die from the condition. Affected dogs show signs of weakness, lethargy, exercise intolerance and anorexia. This deadly blood disorder occurs when something triggers the dog's body to attack its own red blood cells. Despite aggressive immunosuppressive therapy, this disease has a very high mortality rate. Many dogs die shortly after diagnosis, so an effective early treatment is critical. All commissions earned from this design will go to the Meisha's Hope AIHA/IMHA Fund #338 at Morris Animal Foundation.

American Eskimo Dog RescueEveryday, people are working together to rescue Eskies and to help them find their forever homes. Show your support for these wonderful people and organizations. All commissions earned from this cartoon American Eskimo dog design will go to Eskie Rescue.

Opt To AdoptMommie adopted me in 2005 and she always says it is the best thing ever. Loving dogs are waiting in shelters around the country to be adopted. Opt to adopt and make a loving forever home for these poor dogs. All commissions earned from this design will go to local animal shelters.

An Outing, Finally!

Well Mommie's been keeping me indoors coz it's that scary time of the year. I have been soooo very bored here at home. Her plan was to wait for April to let me go out. Thank goodness she finally relented today and took me out for coffee. I've been telling her for days that I want to go out. So she said it may be safer if we went a bit farther from the house. So we drove to Japantown in San Jose. We walked from the car to the coffee place and I sat on my chair watching people go by. I got lots of pats and smiles. And a few people came over to ask what kind of doggie I was. When people ask that and hear I am an American Eskimo Dog, usually they will say that they thought I was a Pomeranian. Mom says I look like a miniature Samoyed or a giant Pomeranian. Haha! Everyone said I was so well behaved and so clean. They always assume I just got a bath. We will hear comments like 'Oh look who just got a bath.' Haha! They do not know I have not bathed since last year. The waitress at the coffee shop came out to give me a treat, too. I even saw a couple of doggies. Their owners parked their cars on the curb in front of me so I got to see them from my seat. They barked hello to me from their car windows. It was good to see doggies. Wish I could have sniffed them hello. I did get to sniff some coffee. Lookit this cute heart design on Mommie's coffee.

We stayed there for an hour or so and I eventually fell asleep on my chair coz I was tired. I also slept as soon as I got into the car. I woke up when we passed by the post office. The post office is the best place ever. When we go it usually means there is a goodie package for me. And true enough, my pal Siku had a belated barkday surprise for me from Dugan's Barkery. Thanks Siku and Quinn! Quinn is Siku's new little brother. They rescued him all the way from California. Isn't that awesome? Eskie pals across states helped to get him to Arizona to be with Siku. Another example of how great Eskie people are.

Mommie is also giving me milk thistle now to help with my liver. It tastes awful. Not like milk at all. But hopefully it will help. At least I get a treat after taking the milk thistle so I can get the taste of it out of my mouth.
And my fishies are getting very comfy with me. Before they did not want to eat while I watched them but now they come up to the surface to eat even when I am hovering over the bowl watching them. It's so cool to see them moving around so much and coming up to the surface.

Sounds like you had a nice time Casper! Glad you got out a bit =)
Mommy has been taking me on longer walks now that it's getting warmer and all snow is gone. Hope the milk thistle helps. I take fish oil pills for my fur....they smell stinky but they are good for me.
Take care!

I am thrilled that you got to go on an outing! It looks like the kind of place you might want to hang out and meet friends...maybe someday soon we can do that! I am so glad you got our presents; Quinn and I hope you enjoy them. Milk thistle sounds yucky but take it if it keeps you healthy, please. Thanks so very much for helping make mom's birthday special. Your comments on the comment-a-thon helped raise $30 for ERU!
